This week I finally used the washi tape and planner stickers form the Petals + Bloom collection from Hobby Lobby. While I think the washi tape beautiful and works great, the planner stickers are not my favorite. The heavy weight, of the stickers, seems to hinder the sticky-ness and they do not stick as well on the paper I’m using as thinner stickers. Also, they have a bit of a glossy finish that is not ideal for most pens because the ink sits on top of the gloss, dries slowly which makes the ink easier to smear. The pack of stickers contains a few functional stickers, once I really flipped through the pages of stickers to find things that would be functional for my planner spread, the options were few. I still think the stickers are beautiful, but they are not as functional for me as I had hoped.
Although this week is light on plans and tasks I need to complete, I am trying out a new size for my from scratch planner spread. I moved up to a 24lb legal size paper and printed a quarter inch grid on both sides. So far I’m happy with the layout, and if I feel like I don’t need the extra space for the days of the week, I can use the flaps like tip-ins for lists, a little journaling and/or notes.
