What is a FROM SCRATCH Planner Spread or Layout?

01.27.2022 by scrapcraftastic //

From Scratch is creating your own layout or setup in your Journal Planner or Notebook. Just as with cooking a cake from scratch without using a box cake mix, From Scratch spreads, for planning and journaling do not provide a framework and the base is typically a grid or dot grid, but works just as well on plain or lined paper.

From Scratch planning is like Bullet Journaling in that you create a system that works for you and design your own spreads. However, from scratch spreads differ from bullet journaling because you are not necessarily drawing your layouts or simply putting pen to paper. Instead of illustrations and drawing, from scratch layouts are created with stencils, stamps, washi tape, a variety of stickers including decorative stickers and planner sticker kits.

Also called FREE FORM or DIY planning, from scratch planning gives you the freedom to plan any way you choose and on anything you choose. From a piece of printer paper to artist quality paper in a perfect bound journal, you can create beautiful decorative layouts or keep your design simple and basic. This type of planning allows you to switch your layout style daily, weekly or monthly.

Use From Scratch layouts for memory keeping, planning your days, tracking habits, listing and collections.
