My $10 2017 Black Friday printer finally stopped working properly recently.
I was trying to wait until Black Friday to replace it, but I also didn’t want to miss out on the printer I wanted to replace it with.
So, I treated myself to an early birthday present and got this printer with my Target pickup today. https://www.target.com/p/hp-deskjet-2734e-wireless-all-in-one-color-printer-scanner-copier-with-instant-ink-and-hp-26k72a/-/A-87130034
(NOTE: This same printer is also available at Best Buy)
If you need an inexpensive printer and plan to use HP Instant Ink, you might consider the HP DeskJet 2734e. It’s not the newest most feature rich printer, but it was easy to set up, and the test prints I’ve done look great. It’s a bit slow. It doesn’t have the borderless or duplex feature, but it is a good replacement for my other printer that didn’t do those things either. It also came with 9 months of FREE HP Instant Ink.
I like this style printer that loads from the top back and doesn’t require the paper to flip inside the unit. It just goes straight through.
If you’ve been watching me, you know I like to push the limits a bit with my craft tools, so because it loads this way, I can print on fabric paper, sticky notes, and all the other things I like to try without worrying too much about it jamming.
This will be the printer I use most for printing stickers (sticker paper I use https://amzn.to/49vq9yu paid affiliate link), which is how I used its predecessor, the HP DeskJet 2624.
For more advanced printing, including borderless and duplex printing, I use the HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e. It’s a little more pricey (I caught a good sale), but it’s worth it. https://amzn.to/3QOF8wn (paid affiliate link)
